Celebrate Coastside's Christian Halloween Celebration

Bring your holy designed pumpkin to enter the 'Saint O' Lantern' Pumpkin Contest [1st place prize: $50]
Come dressed as a canonized Saint or non-canonized 'saint' to enter the Saint Costume Contest [1st place prize: $50]
[Both contests are open to kids attending Our Lady of the Pillar Church’s Hallowe'en 4:00pm Requiem Mass for the Dead.]
Medieval Christian 'a soulers' [a precursor to today's 'trick or treaters.'
Following the Mass there will be a family Hallowe'en Party with:
Fr. Philip Tells a Ghost Story [based on St. Gregory the Great's Dialogues, and masterfully retold by the ever- talented Fr. Mark]
Catholic style “trick or treating” [as this 8th Century a 'souling or “praying & treating” custom originated]
Latin chanted Litany of Saints & Dies Irae prayer procession for our faithfully departed loved ones
Saint themed games & prizes
